Crinone is a medication in a class of drugs known as progestins, and is used to treat infertility among women whose body cannot synthesize enough of natural hormone referred to as progesterone. Progesterone hormone helps stimulate and regulate different functions in the body including maintaining pregnancy, regulating the menstrual cycle, and preparing the body for conception. When the body does not produce enough of progesterone, it is likely that menstrual irregularities will occur.
