Additionally, Levoxyl is used during surgery together with radioactive therapy to treat thyroid cancer. Under the direction of a doctor, Levoxyl can be used to treat infertility caused by low thyroid hormones. Levoxyl belongs to a class of drugs known as hormones. It works by reinstating the thyroid hormone created naturally by the body.
Levoxyl is typically used once every twenty-four hours, half an hour to one hour before breakfast.
